Videoperformance / Multichannel Installation
In cooporation with Christoph Arge Schwarz
Starting with the intention to hold a video-performance every day for a week in a public space of Vienna, the two artists were forced by unusually hot weather to perform in the early morning hours at 6am, a fact which became eponymous for the German title Die große Hitze, “The Great Heat” and changed the setting of the work totally: a empty city, sleepy protagonists, no audience.
The combination of a performance until total physical exhaustion and its painstaking video documentation, comes from the subjective perspectives of the protagonists as well as from a supposed objective external perspective due to the different backgrounds of Tuan Mami (Performance/Conceptual Art) and CA Schwarz (Video/Media Art).
